52nd Annual General Meeting

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 5PM THURSDAY 23RD MAY 2019

In accordance with Rule 17 (6.) of the Constitution of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western Australia Inc. (MDWA), we hereby give notice and invite you to attend the 52nd Annual General Meeting of the members of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western Australia (Incorporated).  

The meeting will be held at The Niche, Passmore Room, 11 Aberdare Road, NEDLANDS, 6009 on Thursday 23rd May 2019, arrival between 4.30pm and 5pm commencing at 5pm sharp.

The order of business for the meeting will be as per the agenda below. Any members seeking to vote at the Annual General Meeting or wishing to nominate for a position on the Board should ensure their membership is current for the 2019 calendar year. Should you wish to renew your membership please use our online form.

·         Draft Minutes from the 51st AGM held on 24th May 2018

AGM documentation including the 2018 Audited Financial Report and the Muscular Dystrophy WA Annual Report will be available one week prior to the AGM and on the day.

Our ever popular School Holiday Program gives mums and dads a break while keeping the kids entertained on two separate days.

The activities are inclusive, accessible, age-appropriate but still challenging and lots of fun. A school-aged sibling is also welcome to attend.

We have qualified support workers and our volunteers and staff make sure everyone is safe and comfortable.

School Holiday Camp

Each year we host a 2 night (3 day) camp for school-aged children. All activities are inclusive, accessible, age-appropriate but still challenging and lots of fun. A school-aged siblings is also welcome to attend as long as there is space. Parents are welcome to visit during any of the daily activities.

We have qualified support workers and our volunteers and staff make sure everyone is safe and comfortable.

Community Day

Our annual Community Day is organised so that you, your family and carers can connect, relax and reflect on the past year.

We provide food and the wine comes from our friends at Myattsfield Vineyard, so you can enjoy a stress free afternoon and have plenty of chats. Location and event details will be confirmed closer to the time and we will email you if you are on our database (if you aren’t, please sign up as a member here).

Family Day @ The Maze

Inviting families with young and school aged children with neuromuscular conditions to join us for a family fun filled day at The Maze in Bullsbrook. This place will keep you busy all day with so many mazes your head will spin - plus mini golf, animal interactions, children’s playground and so much more. We’ll provide lunch and refreshments and cover your entry so all you’ll need to worry about is getting yourself there!
